Will the kit you linked in the video work on a 2010 es 350?
Homie…put some bass in your voice.
You do not needed to cut the wire from the ballast, you can just open the metal housing and remove it then fish the wire out 🙂 that is how i replaced my ballasts instead of ungluing the headlights and gluing them back ( time consuming and its not easy ) but you said you do not need to reuse the ballasts so yea.. great video I am looking how to convert the lights on my IS 250 , 2008 to LEDs.
That Lexus has been wrecked. That's why it was messed up so much at the connections.
How much would it cost for Lexus to do it
OMG! All this just to change a frickin bulb! No wonder they charge $150-$250.
I have a question I have a 2011 Lexus ES 350 with a halogen projector housing, since of projector already would I be able to throw a hid bulb in it or would I have to do a conversion kit?
Great video. I do have a question. Why can't you just tab on to that original wiring harness ???? Why did u deleted??? This way the entire headlight wouldn't have to be removed. Can u explain please. Thank you
If you take out the air cleaner box and the washer fluid hose you can just get to the housing from there, the other side is even easier.
How much a job like this cost?
I have just decided to buy a complete headlight assembly with led bulbs. I don't care about the rotating projector. Where can I go to find a plug and play headlight assembly?
Its too dangerous to wiring that way without a light relay. You can burn your car. For conversation from hid to led or h7 you should change the whole headlight because hid projector spread light all over and with a 12v 35w LED you cant watch in dark. HID is 85volt.
Anyway I recommend to put a relay
I just tried to replace my low beam light bulb on my 2007 ES350. I thought it was halogen. Found out it is HID. I removed the HID bulb and the assembly started to smoke. I shut it off and it stopped smoking. The light bulb is working though. I am scared of a fire starting. i want to convert to LED since large improvements have been made compared to HID. Don't know if I would be able to do this conversion with the smoking.
10:12 where did you get that plastic piece from?
250000 VOLT IN THAT BALLAST BATTERY GOT TO BE DISCONNECTED! SOME GOT KILLED IN AUTOZONE PARKING BY MESSING WITH BALLAST
My 2007 LS460 left bulb isn't working tried changing bulb but didn't work ! Any suggestions
what if your ballast is bad? I've replaced my HID twice, but this last time, the bulb stopped working so assuming I have a bad ballast. So does the led conversion eliminate the need for the ballast?
Excellent step by step instruction. Thank you!!
