96 and 99 1uzfe enginges slightly differ. I ha e a 99ls400 and you have to remove the power steering pump because its a static bolt on the top of the alternator thus it will not clear the p.s. pulley.

YOU don 't have to remove the power steering pulley just remove the 2 rubber clams that hold down the radiator and shrouds . move the radiator forward you will have enough room to reach the alternator.

Good job.  Another poster said you have to remove the Radiator Shroud and the Power Steering Pulley.  Didn't look like you had to remove those to me.  good job.
