this TOTALLY fixed my wife’s RX300! I thought it sounded like the timing
belt, so I tore open the motor to discover timing was FINE.took out the
seats to check the fuel pump (accessible from under the rear passenger seat
on the driver’s side)- also fine. I was about to give up when I found this.
I reasoned that if idle air was the issue, then holding down the pedal
should allow it to have enough air to start. sure enough, but it stalled
when I let go. $3 of spray cleaner and it’s good. thanks!

Did the car crank over or turn over before you fixed it? Because im working
on one in my auto shop class and it wont even crank/turn over
about to give this a go with my 99 rx, not exactly sure how to get all the
hoses off to get in there but i’ll let you know how it goes
