removing the rear seats. but thank you for this. i badly need to clean my
fuel tank.

Yadher Bustamante says:

Lol I can’t believe you did that. But now there is a decent diy video for
gas tank install removal.

jasperlives00 says:

Hahahaha some people should not work on there own cars!!! Buddy! There’s
three 12 mm bolts the hold the back seat in place.

Otaku's Guide To says:

Dude are you serious… You should have looked into it. You see that silver
plate behind the fuel tank. Well you takeout the rear seat and that is a
fuel pump access point. You never had to take the tank out to replace it.
Man i wish i could have help you before you had to do all that work.

Ruben Ponce says:

Behind seats ?

2jzgte Swapped SC300 says:

@ruben61392 yeah, when you remove the back seat…use a screw driver and
pry the access plate off…then you will see the the fuel pump unit right
in front of you…The title of this video should of been, gas tank
removal…there’s no need to remove the tank just for the pump…The video
was informative though…good job man…

Iseekoutthetruth says:

glad it could help you out

Iseekoutthetruth says:

95kayasith says:

LetsseekJannah19 says:

How can you replace the pump from that little hole. No for real, it looks
like the steel line will not allow you. Has any one replaced it the easy
way?

Iseekoutthetruth says:

@LetsseekJannah19 i did use jack stands hard to see in the video but they
are there.

Iseekoutthetruth says:

@Silen7Voice yea I know that now, but had no clue before i started as soon
as i got the tanks out i saw that plate, before i never knew it was there,
anyways I know better now plus just sold this car.

Robert Nord says:

THATS WHY THEY MADE THAT WHOLE BEHIND THE BACK SEAT SON!

David Cardoza says:

Thank you for your effort, Iseekoutthetruth…I am in the process of
purchasing a SC400 and it also has a fuel pump issue. I will video my own
progress and update. I applaud you for even attempting this even though, as
you mentioned, you hadn’t done this before. Thanks again!!

LetsseekJannah19 says:

Please use jack stands friend.

Iseekoutthetruth says:

@LetsseekJannah19 get your sleep I just sold this car.

Iseekoutthetruth says:

Yea I know that now, also do not have the car anymore

LetsseekJannah19 says:

Sorry I need my sleep, It will work the easy way.

Gary Bonner says:

Thanks Man!! although you went through a lot of extra trouble, I appreciate
teaching me the final steps to remove the tank!!

twofly4awguy says:

After you remove the front and back seat there is a circular panel right in
the middle of the 2 seats remove that remove screws take out assembly the
fuel pump is a little black device on the end of the fort I said we should
slide right out and be easy to replace without having to take out fuel
tank, just replace mine today know first hand experience hope that helps
insane you guys sometime thanks for the video

studiogeek1 says:

THANKS MAN! I broke my fuel line changing my filter. i have to run new -6
AN line from the bulkhead to the tank with an inline Aeromotive fuel
filter. I needed to know what i was connecting to (under the tank). Your
video showed me everything i needed to see to plan my job. Much
Appreciated!

NULLLIQUID says:

Found a faster solution remove the backseat to reveal the silver cap to the
fuel pump

hobotechMASTER says:

yup. dont depend on youtube. messageboards online have write ups on these.
you did a whole of of unnecessary work.

Iseekoutthetruth says:

if you are going to change your fuel pump there is no reason to remove the
gas tank. as you see in the video there is a place behind the back seat. it
is a round plate at 6:27 in the video you can see the round plate. all you
have to do is remove the back seat than remove the round plate and than you
can get to the fuel pump.WOW so easy right. wish I knew that before i went
thru all that trouble i went threw. I was told after i made this video how
easy it is to change. do not follow what i did

Iseekoutthetruth says:

before you remove your tank read some of the comments, i did it the hard
way,i was told all you have to do is remove the back seat to get to the
cover that needs to be removed so you can get to the fuel pump

Tim Kempf says:

You tha man! Thank you. When I replace my shocks I will return the favor

Skinny Pooh says:
