Oumi Kapila says:

Mmm, should specify the LR2 you’re speaking of and not the entire brand. The LR3 is a completely different machine, and much more robust. This aside, I enjoy and have learnt much from your videos.

D B says:

The fact that Scotty says no means a YES to me.

Anita IceCream says:

Sucker is born every minute. Land rover catch phrase RANGE ROVER

The Babies says:

Yup brake pads and rotors need to changed often. Engine breaks down often. Air suspension and electrical problems. Dumb cars.

Samantha Barrett says:

So is 139,000 miles on a 2005 land rover ls3 to much . The vehicle is 6500$ Do the engine and transmission last to 200,000 . Or is it a waste?

Firus says:

If you want a good SUV, get an Audi Q7, atleast it works.

Fields Carlisle says:

Henry Niels says:

I have had two Landrovers a Discovery SE7 and a LR4. If you do the work yourself it's not anymore expensive then fixing a Ford. I buy my parts at Atlantic British LTD. They will price match any price online no matter what company known or unknown. For example I bought a alternator for $280.00 because they price matched and it was a new one not rebuilt. The Landrover dealership wanted me to pay $1,150.00 So you see the dealership is a joke not sure how they can raise prices so damn high it's not right but that is how I can afford a Landrover I do the maintenance myself. They do not always have issues I have had my LR4 for 5 years and zero big issues. The alternator has been the worst issue. Easy fix but the SE7 oil leaks around gaskets and I fixed that myself they are common on the old Landrovers. Comments about Landrovers only owned by the rich and crap like that is a joke I am not rich I just love European cars. Do not take your car to a dealership to get things fixed. They rip you off!

EMH says:

Land Rovers are hard, guys. I mean, they really are. You can love them, believe me, they won't love always love you back. It's like dating a German chick.

EMH says:

There is a reason used Land Rovers are cheap. You can buy a used 2010 Range Rover for about the price of a used 2010 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, a truck that originally cost new about a third of the price of the Range Rover. You have to ask yourself, why that is. Here's a clue; it's not because the Range Rover is well built and reliable. Range Rovers and Land Rovers look cool parked, and that's a good feature because they're going to be parked a lot waiting to be fixed.

Sean Fenwick says:

I own one and apart from regular maintenance and the odd Offroad abuse the 180000miles has been rather fine.. comparatively my ford and Mazda broke much more.. so what now?

David Huett says:

I own a 2001 Land Rover Discovery 2 TD5 (Diesel) and travel throughout Australia through some of our most rugged terrain … most of the time pulling a 3000Kg caravan behind me … and I do this full time!!
I've been doing it since 2010 and have NEVER had the Disco fail me … period!!
I maintain the vehicle myself and do regular filter/fluid changes using good quality consumables from 3rd party suppliers .. NOT genuine LR parts as they are too expensive from the dealers (stealers)
I talk to almost every LR driver I come across to see how they get on. Most have had no major issues and the few who have, and are driving vehicles that seem to have continual problems and being called 'lemons' … it turns out that after a general conversation with them it's apparent that they have no idea about the workings of their vehicle and don't carry out any regular/routine maintenance. Maintain pretty much any car properly and it will serve you well.
As I see it, one of the problems I see with Disco's in America (and your other makes for that matter) is that you all seem to have petrol V8's. The V8's are great for racing around, sound good and guzzle fuel .. but they are not a good workhorse motor like the diesel TD5.

denison motovlog says:

Step 1 buy a land rover/range rover
Step 2 swap the engine to toyota's 1kz engine

Bush Trash says:

Im British and had the awful experience of owning a land rover defender, totally worthless peaces of crap. Never buy a land rover actually never buy any car that is made in Britain.

Josh Bacon says:

I remember when my dad used to have a 2005 Discovery 3 HSE when I was 10 years old, and I thought it was a brilliant car. Unfortunately he ended up selling it after just 5 months of ownership because of how unreliable it turned out to be.

He traded it in for a 2011 Isuzu Denver Max Plus pick-up, bought brand-new from our local Isuzu dealer.

Tyson Td says:

new land rover reaction please scotty

BongRasta says:

Scotty please gift us with a video on the new defender.
I cant wait for that roast.

Mike Fu says:

Only buy an Older Land Rover from the 90's…..and ONLY if it's for Off-Road use…..BE a mechanic also.

LightYearsFromHere says:

Why do I keep thinking this man is a reincarnated Dennis Hopper?

Bellowloudly says:

If those buick V8 engines came equipped with SU carburetors you said a prayer before you went anywhere! Got better with electronic injection but not much better
