I just did this, and it sounds so much better now! You may need to use a heat gun to get the old speakers out, mine had some adhesive holding them still, after I bent the tabs.
I was able to purchase the same subwoofers in the video, on ebay for $36.95
Can you please tell me if it would be possible to replace the old speakers by these VISATON W170 with 8 Ohms and keep that original “mini amplifier” in the back?
Sorry about my ignorance but the value of ohms is determined by the car electronics or by the radio system? I do have a SONY CDX-GT434U (in the instructions manual says it runs on 4-8 ohms…) and speakers SONY XS-F1026SE in front and SONY XS-F1326SE in the back.

i had some like this took the amp and subs out but now i cant find the amp anywhere i might have thrown it out 🙁 and i could have used it again 🙁
