In Part 2 of this 2-part series, watch how to install the 3 aluminum coolant pipes, thermostat, and water pump from EuroAmp on the 5.0L V8 (and similarly for the 3.0L V6) supercharged petrol Jaguar/Land Rover engines that are prone to catastrophic engine failure when they break. Process also includes optional replacement of the spark plugs, ignition coils, belts, pulleys, and tensioners. This will save you thousands of $s, and if you purchase the aluminum Cooling System Upgrade Kit from www.euro-amp.com using discount code ROBB25 you’ll save another $50! You’re welcome.

Hell of a mechanic
There are amazing tutorials. Great job. I only have two things. First, they do make aluminum upgraded OE Land Rover pipes for the front that fit perfectly so you don’t have to cut the $1k+ snout. Second, you should have deleted the symposer, they sell kits for $50 and makes everything cleaner and easier on the back of the supercharger. Otherwise great videos.
Where are you located I will drop mine off so you can do it one more time …
So what I am seeing is you didn’t need to remove the symposer from the supercharger to remove supercharger?
what yellow clips are those that you use to hold the OEM radiator clamps open?
Do you have a video on how to remove the cowl to access the engine coolant pipe closer to the firewall? Do you think on a NA 5.0 I could do away with removing the intake manifold?
Great job Rob, 2 yrs ago I couldn’t find metal replacements. Glad Euro Amp has them. Thank you for showing detailed information on this critical update. Wondering if you have a time chain replacement video as that is also essential maintenance before it’s too late.
Surprised you didn't swap out the two PCVs or do the sympozer delete.
Also another note from a jaguar service mechanic himself landrover vehicles are not as reliable as jaguars because they use so many fancy confiscicated part that they always break but jaguars are built with more solid sturdy part that last way longer perfect example landrover has multiple air suspension issues jaguar has spring struts never break or fail everything with landrover is overly fancy and unreliable
Great video my guy i just did the upgraded kit on my 2019 f pace svr the biggest problem i had with the whole job was all the stupid clamps getting off and back on is a pain i have no shop or special tools i did it all with channel locks what a adventure it looks like they changed the design on newer models but mine has a 3 way hose splitter coming out of the coolant resivoir 1 hoses goes top of the radiator its very small and SUPER FRAGILE i barely touched it and it broke you speak on it at the end of the video very true i mean i just hit it so slight snapped rite off and it cost 70$ watch out all his trouble shoots are1000% accurate
These tabs are a pain when trying to get them out the correct way as you've shown. I get them out by just using a flathead and on the same side which has the tab, I half pry-up and half pry-off. The connector will then disengage from the coil pack. Not how it's "supposed" to be taken off, but it works better, and no tabs get broken.
I'm working on a 2015 Jag XF. I only have 30K miles on it and the coolant is leaking. I'm guessing its the Y fitting. Do you recommend I get into replacing the oil cooler gasket as well?
One time you mentioned you aren’t a mechanic. I think I speak for everyone when I say that you are definitely a mechanic!
Very well informed video Rob. I own a 2016 Jaguar XJL and have replace the supercharger pipes however the shop installed the old style supercharger coupler which has failed. Its in the shop now to upgraded to the solid aftermarket coupler due to the knocking. I also went with your recommendation to the the solid rear pipe as well. The Jaguar XJL is a fantastic vehicle, it is a shame they cut these corners with plastic parts that require intense labor to upgrade.
Thanks again for the video(s) my man! Matt…
How did Home Boy Mike clean of the oil and coolant mess before you replaced the oil cooler gasket- the engine looked significantly better.
Robb… amazing clean and detailed work, thank you for your time creating this videos. A little advise if you are planning to work on that engine again, you can remove the hood shocks on both sides and tilt the hood completely vertical for plenty of access to the back components. Cheers!!!
By far the most detailed video I’ve seen on YouTube! We have an 2020 SVR and this Las Vegas heat sure doesn’t help keeping the engine cool either plastics. Once the warranty is over I will be upgrading these to aluminum as well. Just worried I’ll screw something up lol. Hard to find a good honest mechanic these days..
When you connected the coolant hose (one with green locking tabs) to the rear pipe did you notice it was a looser connection than the factory version? I just installed the euro amp one, I'm assuming the same one you used but it seems to be 1mm smaller in diameter. The hose clips on but has a lot of wiggle. I ordered a new hose fitting so I'll see if that helps.
What size guide pins did you get for the supercharger install?
Working on a customer’s Range Rover diagnosing a coolant leak, so this and your O-Ring fix videos are good knowledge to have going in. Also a huge fan of the Rossi Beamer shirt. Forza Vale
Hey guys, in case you need to replace the retaining clip securing the fan cover, the part number is LR053660. Mine eventually needed replacement and wasn’t easy for me to locate, so passing along the info.
