rebuild kit for the air compressor?
Great work mate, followed your instructions except I was able to take out
the brass ring and old yellow seal without having to take the piston
armature etc out – only because I couldnt prise my one out ! One thing I
have noticed tho, when driving, the compressor still sounds like its
working away, or would that be the motor unit? The height ride is perfect
so its not doing anymore work, why do you think that is – a leak? Yet at
the lights, the buzzing of the motor stops, restarts when I take off
is this the same has D3
Thanks John, very good pick up,… just checked, I did mine the right
way… I actually thought this recess is there to heat the clamp ring at
that exact spot,.. as heat wont be easy absorbed onto the piston… keeping
the piston cool while expanding the ring… Now I realize to what the
recess is made for…. double function… thanks for this valuable tip .. DD
Another thank you, for showing us this great instructions.It’s a touchy job
but with good care quiet manageble… I did it today and found a very easy
way to take of and replace the brass clamp ring. after following all your
instructions I gave a little heat to the brass ring in order to expand. (
over the gas stove) I heated the brass ring first very lite all around and
then I gave a little more heat at exactly the spot where the bottom end
hole is it came off very easy refitting hot
Thanks for the video, just note that the piston has a recess in the top to
make room for the reed valve holding screw head, if you put the air outlet
on back to front as in the video the piston will jam. Guess how I know.

OK Sorry about that. I did not notice until just now. I did reverse the
position of the pump head when reinstalling.
