it took a headache or two but whatahell i could open a shop now that specializes in range rover water pumps jaja
I had to improvice using wrenches and hammer and a jack
realesing the tension belt was the hardest because i scraped the nutbolt
called it a night next morning put jack between tension belt and starting jackin’ that released the tension without any hard effort just put the jack in the correct angle, also used the jack roer comes with, thanks man u save me some big bucks

Whoporschedatis says:

Professional mechanics have the tool, that’s what we’re here for!!!!

Whoporschedatis says:

Hey faggot, you cost me a couple hundred bucks with this shit, I hope every bolt is seized and you ruin your shitty English car block!! Fuck you making light of my profession!!! Cocksucker!

Dingbusters says:

oredroc4 says:

Did you even look? Your local autoparts store should have it to rent or buy.

Dingbusters says:

How much different is this procedure for a 2006 range rover superchaged (4.2L V8) ?

Thanks.

Lowell Stevenson says:

THANKS
This is also good information for Land Rover Discovery I
The Fan tool is important. My local auto store loans the tool out for free.

Thanks. I am changing the alternator on my p38 and I was wondering how the fan belt tightened. But thanks to your video I now know how. (hopefully!) I will try it after lunch.

Jallandhara says:

Quick question: My P38 is parked at a very slight decline (maybe three degrees), will this have any effect on filling/bleeding the coolant since the radiator will be slightly lower than it normally is (in relation to the fill tank)?

armin monajemi says:

This video is awesome!!!Thank you so much, your video saved me $500 today.
If you can’t find a fan clutch(removal)wrench you can go to the nearest mechanic shop and ask him to loose the screw and you can drive the car for 15 minuts.

shoegame1911 says:

Where can you purchase the fan removal tool from?

MalafaxDand says:

Did you make sure and bleed the coolant system properly of all air. If there is air in the system, it can prevent the upper parts of the cooling system from getting proper flow of coolant.

Mistee Jo says:

So I have a question. I have the same year and model as you, and I drove Wilbur (my ROver) over the mountain and about an hour into it my engine temp dropped down to cold. so I replaced my thermostat, and now my heater is not working…. could it be my water pump? any suggestions

MalafaxDand says:

My very first replacement, I improvised a fan removal tool and it took Forever (1 hour) and scraped some knuckles. The special fan reomval tool is awesome.

SEWAdjEVi says:

You’re right,… without the specials tools it’s (very) boring… but not impossible !! 😉
