Yes the brackets need to come through the sill covers to enable the step to
fit. The sills can still be removed – these parts are just cosmetic made
from thin plastic. Simon

holes for the clips, am I correct? So just insert the clip straight into
the car?
Hi – yes you can cut the sills steps however you like as long as the
brackets come through. However i think the way Landrover has done it is
probably the neatest although i must admit i have not really looked closely
at this aspect. If you freeze the video and look at the image of the cut
sill step in the video this should help.
Yes i guess you are referring to the clips that are pushed up from the
underside ( when re-fitting the sills ). Yes push the outer bit of the clip
in first then push the middle of the fitting in to “lock” the clip.
What are the bolt size and how many for this install? I have brackets and
steps but no bolts
