Lots of great info here!
Great video again Chris, thank you!
i did it the easy way in the vehical with a trolly jack for lift
thank you for the movie…one question, you prefer Valeo? or Borg and
beck?
Thats what I thought, so I fitted mine just like yourself but ever since
had a noisy drone & vibration over 2000rpm, found this thread on the web ‘
forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=35486 ‘ my clutch does have a white
mark but nothing on the cover & old one long since gone, for ref. on Ebay
type ‘300tdi clutch 4 piece’ the Valeo cover there has BLS near the bottom,
although the tech guys at Valeo say they do not have a such markings or a
heavy / light side. Driving 60mph for any distance is not very nice,
perhaps other viewers have had experience with this.
Brilliant videos by the way..
What about balancing the clutch cover, they used to have BLS on one side to
match up to Heavy side on flywheel (white mark on mine), my 300tdi was
silky smooth till I put in a Valeo replacement which is now noisy & has
vibrations at >2000rpm, my new cover has no markings but I notice youre one
there has a green dot ??!
