you really need to check the fault codes, Not sure if you can do that on a
freelander 1 without a diagnostic tool. I use a bluetooth ODB scanner (
about £10 ) and an app on my phone ( torque ) that lets me read the fault
codes on most cars.

Hi, Have a Land Rover Freelander 1999 petrol serie K, that dont start,
petrol pump works , inyectors are working fine, all 4 sparks plugs have
good spark, timing belt is correct position, starter works and move the
engine, but it doesn’t start.
Have noticed the ignition coil have power coming to it all the time , even
when the key is in locked position or not in place at all, is it normal or
mean an electric fail on the circuit, how to find it?
Was told another possibility is the CKP (cranckshaft sensor) how can I test
it?
Many thanks for your time

Hi I think you are probably correct ! Yes the jumping spanner would be a
good video clip !

Thanks for the info. on the steering wheel removal BUT, I think it would be
better to remove the Negative terminal first, to prevent the risk of your
spanner whilst on the postive terminal touching any metalwork that is
electrically attached to the negative side of the car’s electrical system.
still…. would of made good watching if it did 😀 but none the less still
a helpful video
