Have you heard of those little Chinese pocket oscilloscopes? You can use them very well to plot pulsing signals
Love that Lucar crimping tool, they're such a pain to do with pliers.
Hey Mike, do you recommend any kind of grease or oil in electrical connections to prevent corrosion ?
I've had issues with connections on my Defender from time to time.
Great little video on equipment Mike, i do have a question about an electrical issue of my own. On my Defender Td5 2001, its the temp gauge, when i push the throttle it goes straight down to the blue line, when i come off the throttle i comes back up to normal, also when i go round a left hand bend it goes back up to normal, I have replaced the sensor with a new one…still the same, i have drained the coolant, flushed the system, still the same, Im at a loss as to what the issue is, could it be the gauge its-self? Dave.
What are the name of the pliers at 4:10 so I can search for them on Amazon?
Confession time, I was given a similar bullet connector tool years ago. No idea what it was until now. Sorry Mike. Have I let the side down?
Power probe is about all I use on the defenders, brilliant bit of kit and ideal for the common lights not working faults.
multimeter and low amp clamp occasionally.
My Mrs says you need a hair cut, she said you look like the mad professor from the film back to the future!
Love my Weller solder gun (Draper in UK). No licence required 🙂 What's the name of the spade connector crimp tool?
I always learn something Mike. I have a set of those auto wire strippers, only a cheap set because they are from the same factory as the expensive ones!
I never knew they had a wire cutter in the handle. I had to go look at mine. Blow me!
I learned other stuff but I can't remember them now because I am still flabbergasted with my wire strippers.
