German says:

what state are yall in looks like a lot of fun, looks like NC

Ricardo EP says:

What is the best material for the piping not to heat up because of the
engine’s heat? Aluminum, PVC, plastic or rubber hose?

RossBoss90 says:

You loose hp from changing things that are stock unless u get a ecu retune
it would be rare cases when you see gains

Wayne Maraldo says:

Hahaha i think anyone that actually enjoys working on vehicles is a moron
and forgets glasses.. Who needs the fucking things anyway? LOL Good vid!

Steven Kujala says:

+JobeMinacum it won’t hurt hp if you have a turbo car. in fact i’ve NEVER
seen an instance of where reducing restriction hurts hp. saying that is
plain rediculous. maybe it’ll hurt torque by half a pound but who cares if
the car breathes better up top.

Steven Kujala says:

+Andrew Tackett just get some 2.5-3″ aluminum tubing and couplers. you just
have to think where you can route the tubing and how much you’d need/bends
etc.

Drew Dulin says:

how about all those hoses and shit that come off the factory air box. at
least my 92 ranger has a couple

Andrew Tackett says:

How hard would it be to make a custom cold air take for an 84 Corolla LE
Automatic? Also where is a good place to pick up everything (besides the
air filter)? What kind of tubing is best? and etc. Sorry im not a mechanic
but wanna make my own intake system.

JobeMinacum says:

So you’re saying that putting a cone filter on a car won’t ever lower it’s
hp? LOL.

MrRpalm69 says:

Love the tail lights on that s chassis just need to get the s13 Silvia head
lights on

BigKleib34 says:

10:31… that’s what she said. 😉

Poor Man Mods says:

i will probably sounds better, im not sure about a HP increase though, it
certainly wont hurt or lower HP though

tyler jenkins says:

I like this. Ideo

Poor Man Mods says:

no issues or check engine light at all, its a great mod

Okii J kaiju says:

You’re looking at a 2 hp gain

MR-FLIP says:

u guys are car gods

Jake Keyes says:

HHHAAAA I asked so many people that same 80mph question at school!!! haha.
That vid was hilarious!

45fenderbender says:

Great Video! you guyz are an inspiration! when is the exhaust pt2 vid
coming out?

trickpapy says:

good job,,,who is the size tube bro

00madmando says:

The car would need to compensate, since from the looks of the intake, it
runs on an MAF, instead of a MAP, which the computer would run more fuel
into the chamber, thus using more fuel. Just saying.

kris jones says:

Good info! Doing this to my 97 accod this weekend! Thanks for sharing!

DanielRichards644 says:

I wanna say yes, or atleast the 94-97 do if I remember right, behind the
bumper on the passenger side, easy way to find it, is to pull out the air
filter box and the plastic circle going to the bottom of the filter box is
the top of the silencer box.

DanielRichards644 says:

Silencers, suck ass, every 88-00 honda civic has one behind the front
bumper thats held in by a few bolts and you can keep the factory air box
and get 60-80% of the gains you get from an intake

jose hernandez says:

Ohh ight thnx bro

Poor Man Mods says:

yes we did goto 13:00

Andrew Michel says:

Woooow!!!! You are a god at making these things look soo easy to make. you
saved me about $200. Thanks Bro.

mark josepg says:

what can u recommend about carb engines intake filter?

basiccable19 says:

You might as well buy one on eBay they have one for pretty much any car for
40$-70$

Poor Man Mods says:

thanks so much! inspiration is our main goal! and pt2 will be our next
week, its a a full exhaust install, headers, x pipe, cut outs and muffler

Andrew Michel says:

its something???

sledfinatics says:

your computer will process the info from the added air then add more fuel
and you get more power

MercilessHobo says:

Actually many of these intakes take in warmer air, causing a drop in
horsepower. Warmer air will get you more MPG but less horsepower, and
colder air will get less MPG but more horsepower. A short ram will more
than likely give you better MPG but less horsepower. But this set up would
work for slightly more HP. Just not much.

xx4x4x4 says:

AWWWWWWWWWWW came off…… LOL

keyblade2121 says:

So… what kind of car do you drive, Mr. high-and-mighty? Probably a
Hyundai Accent or some shit… Come on man. People do things to their car
that they like to do. Thats why there is such a wide range of mods to do!
That way you can pick and choose what you want. Next time, instead of
bitching, maybe ask for some advice on how to sell your Hyundai?

MrSubaruImprezaWRX says:

Hey YouTube! Check out my channel!

Zack Lyons says:

I got a 2002 mazda 626. My transmission is down where you guys ran the
filter, and my stock filter runs out infront of my battery. Would I see any
hp improvements if I got an after market filter or would it only make it
sound better?

Poor Man Mods says:

intakes have been dyno proven on these cars with out tune and many other
cars….dumbass

Christian Garcia says:

Intakes dont do much at all, they just look and sound good. On turbo cars
cold vs short ram doesnt make a difference cuz the intercooler cools it
anyway

Ashlen68944 says:

U never started it>:(

Patrick Coico says:

Can i do this on my 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP?

jmialma09 says:

I like it but I feel like your car is extremely vulnerable.my buddys d16z6.
Boehm cuz water eventually made its way in the engine a literal hole the
size of my fist blew through the engine block. Keep the cold sure intake
in. the engine bay

jose hernandez says:

Eyy poor mann ?? I got uh nissan sentra too except its not the type R would
i get the same results if i get an type r intake to itt ??

Mark Aguilera says:

editing bro!

Jake Keyes says:

Funny thing is I was just thinking about how to make a cold air intake the
other day and bam juat so happens to be on my favorite car mod channel!!

Andrew Michel says:

Also I almost forgot!!!. Where can I buy the tubing? I know I could get the
Brackets and rubber Parts at PepBoys or Autozone. But I’m trying to do this
on a 1999 Dodge Neon 2.0L SOHC.

IZZY REDRIBONZ says:

PLEASE clean the car before you make a video jajaja, but good projec!

veyronguy says:

well yeah if you forget to plug in your maf sensor back in

Agemrepus says:

wow, so glad i found your channel! I have a 2009 corolla L and wanna do
this. Would PVC work instead of that metal piping?
