The City of Seattle has filed a complaint in federal court against Kia and Hyundai for failing to install anti-theft technology in some of their vehicles which the Seattle City Attorney believes has contributed to an “exponential increase” of Kia and Hyundai vehicle thefts in Seattle.

It's funny how the city of Seattle takes zero responsibilities for all this crime wave that they have caused and now they want to go after carmakers because they have money the city is so far backward it's like watching a bad Twilight Zone episode
Just so you know..the USB cable end is used to turn the ignition lock tumbler and is not in any way used as some device to electronically bypass the ignition circuits. Also their is a fix for it by some inventor from a dealer which will fix this for about $200 but KIA is not interested and is stalling on this defect as it will cost them if it comes to a recall.
Yes! sue the auto makers for criminals stealing folks cars & sue the gun manufacturers for criminals shooting people & why stop there sue the alcohol company’s for making alcohol and the stores that sell it when people drink & drive. Only people need to be sued are the piss poor leaders who created all this crap going on in the world today.
People bought them for the price. Not for anti-theft.
Suing a car manufacturer for something that should be in a vehicle, but isn't federally mandated is going to get thrown out of court faster than someone with purple hair is going to be offended by something. They're cheap cars, they don't have immobilizers which make their security the same as cars from the 80s in how you can rip off the steering column and start them with a screwdriver. Washington has so many black eyes for hits they take protecting criminal scum, they must be blind at this point.
Crazy politicians propose de-funding the police and now sue auto manufacturers over a spike in crime. You can't make this stuff up… Haha
