Re ev9 and carlinkit. I already tried that and it doesnt work brian.
I tried half a dozen usbc to usbc leads – none of them gave power to it (no indicator lights).
I then tried the original usbc to usba that came with the carlinkit and used a usbc-usba adpater like you suggested. This time it does power up – the lights flash indicating its trying to start up, but nothing on the screen and it just loops in startup.
The ev9 does seem to have a few unique niggles that only applies to some models.
I gave up and figured ill just use a tablet instead since the dashboard is flat and level. I rarely use it in my ev6 as it is.
Is that a dog crate in your back seat? I have a similar one, and hoping it will fit in the boot. My EV3 should come in a couple of weeks and I'm hoping to keep the car clean!
In January I received my unit in Spain, which is identical to yours (pearl white). I also have the tic tac fan on speed one and two. I notice the tic tac, not behind the screen, but inside the air outlet tube under the screen. Another thing I have noticed is that if I put not the charging plug in quickly, the locking tabs close before I have put the plug in all the way. Otherwise, everything works perfectly. The only thing I haven't tried yet is fast charging because I haven't needed it yet. I charge with Wallbox at home. Enjoy your new car very much.
I just ordered one (exact same car) will be one of 1st In Australia. So thanks for all this… Can't wait! Big Spotify and Iphone ecosystem user though… hopefully Kia Connect is not so Android/Amazon dependent?…..
Came across fitcamx kia niro ev Dashcam but told it is only for LH drive models any idea?
