Hey thank you, the wife doesn’t like how hard it hits at times but I like it. And it dont get in the way of anything I want to put in the back of the car. Total cost was like 65$ to build but I had like 10 hours of work in it.

Holding up very well! I’m impressed with the build quality of my Sorento and I have no issues with vibrations or distortion. My recommendation is to get a dual voice coil sub. 12″ will hit harder and ultimately satisfy more than a 10″ sub. I’ve had good results with Polk products and for the amp, you’ll want to go for about 750-800+ watts and a bridgeable amp so you’ll have reserve power. You’ll need to fine tune the system to your preference due to no low level receiver outputs.

so, several months later, holding up well? also, do you have a recommendation for a high end woofer? can’t tell which one you have installed — any other suggestions? thanks for the awesome video, by the way! clear and concise 😀

I’m looking forward to viewing your installation. Could you post the link in the comments so others can also see?

coggdogg69 says:

Ok the box and subwoofer are in the car take a look at the video and tell me what u think

coggdogg69 says:

Also did you think to use the amp remote wire (blue) hooked up to the rear acc. port instead of tapping the fuse box?

coggdogg69 says:

So today i finish my fiberglass box and ill do an upload like u did but i couldnt get my hands in the engine bay for the + amp wire.. it goes under…the car….ill post like next week when i have a final product

I have good news for you. There is plenty of room under the rear seats even when folded down, provided the amp is less than 2 inches high. The only way that I know of to hide the wires inside the seatbelt posts is to pull those panels off. It can be done, but I wanted to stress in this video how easy the whole process is because I sensed through online forums that many felt it was too intimidating to attempt. The amp is grounded on the front inside drivers seat mounting bolt. I used 8 gauge wire

Very nice video, the wife is “allowing” me to put a single 12 in our sorento this week, i am going to build a fiberglass box thats going to be comformed to the pass rear trunk space using a flat sub mostly used for single can trucks, is there any room to mount ur amp under the rear seats, also can u set it up so the wire isnt seen through the door jam or can u not get to them through the seatbelt post? Where ur amp is now, do u have problems with the heat vent that goes under there?amp ground?
