Kia Sorento Fuel Pump Replacement!

Welcome back, in today’s episode I show you how to remove and replace a fuel pump on a 2003 Kia Sorento. The information covered in this video will apply from 2003 through 2006 Kia Sorentos. Please note that 2005-2006 Kia Sorento will have a different seal on the fuel pump, you will need a hammer and a flat head to remove it. If you found this video helpful please give me a thumbs up! Can you do A vid on just replacing the filter . Not looking to replace the entire pump. Having no issues. Just figured it would be good to replace. Never been replaced before. Has 150,000 miles. 2003 kia sorento ex.

The screws on my 2006 Don't seem to have any Phillips head or hex head. How do I get my fuel pump out of the tank?

Hey man I’m attempting this on my Kia Sorento 04 right now and my problem is the six screws holding the pump onto the top of tank. They’re rusted beyond belief I already stripped two using using the impact driver and wd40 of course. Break out the screw extractor/drill?

2005 Kia Sorento have a different seal…use a hammer and a flat head and hit it counter clockwise to break the seal

How did you release the pressure in the fuel lines so it doesn’t squirt fuel everywhere when disconnecting the lines?
