I rememeber having to do that to mine. I just pulled the column down but i kept it attached to the steering shaft for the rack and was able to do it. I'll never forget what a difference it made.

We can’t get the final 10mm airbag bolt out it’s so so tight! We’ve tried everything we can think of…any tips???
My questioon is a 10 dollar part and how nuch time to fix start to finish what a dealer or mechic would charge to fix this ours just developed this issue .
