How to replace the valve cover gasket 06 KIA Optima 2.4L

This video shows some basic steps on how to change out the valve cover gasket on a 2006 Kia Optima 2.4L VIN code 6
The valve cover bolt torque specs are 78 inch pounds, however if you suspect that the valve cover is warped to where it isn’t sitting flat on the head, you may need to run them up to about 90 inch pounds.

Rod, thanks for the video.  I did this job yesterday on a Sonata with the same engine.  Same petrified hose issue.  I managed to disconnect it at the other end.  It is flexible where it attaches to the throttle body.  After wiggling the valve cover end back and forth, I think air may be slipping past it.    I wonder if regular fuel line will work to change it out?
