Ali Mahmoud says:

HEY SCOTTY! Quick question. 2003 Chevy Impala 9C1 – front wheel bearing is
pricey going with OEM name brand. What do you think of these eBay Chinese
bearings? They are literally 5 to 7 times cheaper then a AC-Delco or Timken
brand in store. Any luck with eBay or should I shell out some cash for name
brand?

Humberto Castro says:

how come my air impact cannot remove the caliper mounting bolts or the CV
axle nut in the middle off? It has a max of 650 ft. lbs., yours did it with
no problem.

Abrar Khan says:

this is a 1995 toyota corona if i am not wrong. i have the exact same car
and am facing quite a few problems. i come from a 3rd world country and
technology is not that much advanced in here. as well, the mechanics always
try to scam a bit. i want every possible tutorial, tips, whatever you call
it regarding this car. how can i get it?

Alan McRae says:

MIght be a good idea for people without a super-air gun to remove the axle
nut with the wheel on and the car on the ground. That way they can use a
cheater pipe and plenty of torque with the tire preventing everything else
from turning… and thanks for the video! Oh, and doesn’t the fork tool
usually ruin the boot of the tie rod or ball joint?

gerald gum says:

that looks like a giant pain in the butt lol

George Bonta says:

How do you tell when you need a new wheel bearing?

ACS8 says:

I have a 1998 Corolla (w. circular front lights) and I am hearing a noice
while accelerating (not in turns) (the noice is propably from the front
right side), What can I start looking after? Thanks

dcfs2005 says:

I have a 2000 Corolla and I am replacing the wheel bearings, How do I
remove the front inner wheel seal and more importantly, the inner dust
seal? It has two grooves, do I use a snap ring plier wrench? Thanks

stats canada says in ottawa canada.. canadas capital .. 9 to 12 yrs out of
a car.. from new to junkyard.. too much salt.. hard to repair..hard to work
on.. my trucks are sprayed with so much oil it looks like wheelbearing
grease under there and i still have seized bolts and problems where they
need the torch to loosen off bolts..check my channel to see rustproofing
and rusty car vids

Nivicoman says:

I have the confidence but sometimes not the time to do something that needs
to be done before Monday morning. I’m thinking of getting a beater car to
drive and just take my sweet time fixing my main car over several weekends
if that’s what it takes. Rebuilding the entire front end is something I’m
considering since my car needs struts, tie rod ends, wheel bearings and
probably ball joints. Just do everything while it’s all apart anyway then
get an alignment once and be done with it.

Nivicoman says:

Are there ANY front drive cars that the front wheel bearings are in a
bolted on bearing/hub assembly that you can change out without needing to
press the old bearings out and press in the new? The rear ones often if not
always are bolted on and they don’t wear out as fast. The ones that wear
out first are the most difficult to replace.

Nivicoman says:

Pretty bad when a 7 year old car is rusty. Then again, in 1989 I brought an
84 Chevy Cavalier thinking the rust spots I saw on it were surface rust.
Being from down South I thought nothing of it. Turns out everywhere there
was “surface rust” there were holes. Even the floorboards around the
subframe mounting bolts. 6 years and 60,000 miles all that rot. Pathetic.

Scotty Kilmer says:

it is if it’s a quality assembly, unfortunately many of the cheaper chinese
made ones are crap and a good american made bearing would be better

gzukoff says:

I’ve got a 12 ton hydraulic press, I could this for removing and pressing
but isn’t it more cost effective to spend the few extra $ and purchase the
whole assembly?

Scotty Kilmer says:

sorry, I can’t read that crazy, I assume Russian ,script.

Михаил Сергеевич says:

чет ты нихуя не показал как ты на развал схождение ездил после этого,можно
было просто снять стойку и поменять подшипник

Scotty Kilmer says:

yes, if it’s stuck open sucking exhaust air into the engine all the time

johngould989 says:

Egr valve stop car from starting

Ron Tiemens says:

When installing the bearing back into the knuckle, how do you know it is in
there just right and you have not overshot/undershot with the install tool?

clifton559 says:

ball joints make more of a poping metal sound during hard turns more the
less vibrating of the floor board and loud rumbling sounds under the car
after a certain amount of miles per hour will let you know its dry bearings
inside the wheel housing. it sounds like yur tiny car has big mudd tires on
it if your bearing are shot lol. answered.

danny oconnell says:
