How To Replace a Bad Alternator | Kia Rio Soul Hyundai Accent

This is how to replace a bad alternator in a Kia Rio, Soul, or Hyundai Accent. This also shows how to remove and install a serpentine belt using a serpentine belt diagram. A bad alternator can cause the car’s electrical system malfunction, the car to shake, or not start at all because it can’t charge the battery. In this Kia, the bad alternator was causing a metal scraping noise. The alternator is attached with a belt tensioner, a few electrical plugs, and a bolt at the bolt at the bottom.

This is a great tutorial video. Thank you for sharing. Tips: I was working on my 2012 Hyundai accent and the only way to remove the alternator after remove all bolts is using a big screw driver and place it underneath the alternator and slowly pry it up ( I was rocking the alternator back and forth and upward for 15 minutes with no help)
My car symptom: Battery light in the dashboard randomly flickering.
