my buddy installed a similar hitch on my ‘15 Optima. We noticed after the installation, the spare tire compartment buckled upwards a bit so the accessory kit doesn’t sit flush under the mat in the trunk. Any thoughts on how that might have happened? I wasn’t there for the installation so I can only go off what he told me lol

Cool but that's not a 2018 kia optima. I get it's the same concept. But 100% not a 2018. At best that is a 2015, 2016+ looks different. Just saying.
