Well i have a 2015 kia soul 1.6 engine GDI. Manual 6 speed transmission. So far 237 thousands miles. Gets oil changes from Walmart, tires from the pick and pull gas from cheapest place, the secret change the spark plugs every 100k with KIA iridium plugs KN air filter, and make sure to check oil every day and add if needed. Daily commuter doing 80mph for a solid hour. California 80 mph is slow by the way at 5am commute on 101 freway .
Kia and Hyundai are supper garbage vehicles. Even if you take care of them, they will blow their engines. Mine blow its head gasket out of no where after 145 K

got mine replaced at 100k miles under warranty due to bear ing failures……..check and see if yours is under warranty for that!

just bought a 2018 optima should i be worried, I plan on changing the oil every 3000 miles and checking the level every 3 days
