In this video I was able to find and cancel the suspension noise on my 2009 Jeep patriot it is a common problem on the pats and the solution is very cheap and simple to diagnose the problem and eliminate the noise temporary until a proper fix is done
The steps
1: you need to have a silicon spray, any brand will work (for example WD4O is a very known brand)
2: safety first. Secure the car by turning off the engine, engaging the emergency brake, Putting the car in park if it is equipped with an automatic transmission or putting it in first gear if it is a manual transmission, and block off the wheels by a wooden block or anything strong.If you need to jack the car to gain access to the suspension, please make sure to secure the car with jack stands and the jack it self, then put the wheels or anything strong under it, then shake it well and make sure it does not move at all.
3: you have to spray the suspension points and bushing one at a time.
For example you spray the sway bar bushing, make sure that is soaked very well then shake the car.If the noise still there, move to another point and bushing until you no longer hear the squeak or it is significantly reduced. At this point, you just find the problem, so spray it very good to let the bushing soak the lubricant and you are good to go.
4: if you notice that the bushings and links are bad plan to replace them soon to avoid total failure and stay safe.
