i also disconnected my battery and pulled my fuses and put them back in just to eliminate any stored data- not required but with electrical systems i find its usually the best to spend the extra 10 mins for a clear data reset.
this is NOT a $500 job! the part was less than $130 from mopar, and a 5 minute install.
this didnt resolve my ect issue but for many others it did seem to.

the pedal body has a lip, make sure to put the lip into its seat so when you tighten it its locked in place and dont forget to do the throttle reset:

Here’s how to do it:
buckle the safety belt, close the doors and hood

Press the start button twice to put the vehicle into the “Run” position, without starting the engine.
Wait for the engine light: Allow the engine light to appear on the dashboard.
Slowly depress the accelerator: Slowly press the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor, taking about 5-10 seconds.
Hold at WOT: Stop at the floor for a few seconds.
Slowly release the accelerator: Slowly release the pedal back up, taking about 5-10 seconds.
Repeat: You may need to repeat this process several times, especially if you have experienced a battery disconnect.
Turn off the vehicle: Turn the ignition key to the “Off” position.
Start the engine: Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
