In this video we show you how we installed a headliner in a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport. We have been working on building this XJ for using on overland trips and the nasty headliner has been long overdue to be replaced.

Now full disclaimer, we have NEVER installed a headliner before and there are better techniques out there I’m sure on how to do this, but for my son and I, this was a great project and we are happy with the results and we just wanted to share with you how it went.
Where's the xj at Brad been really enjoying the cherokee build to see your spin on the build process that isn't super wild and is a lot more down to earth and simple installs
Does the trim have to come off to install the board back, or just screws taken out?
Looks great! I'm working on my 94 ZJ headliner now, so thanks for posting this helpful video!
Hope that wasn't sagging a few days later. I'll be using a brush-on adhesive.
What were the detentions for how much fabric you needed
This is actually my first project I have for my 99 cherokee. If you don’t mind me asking, about how much fabric did you need for the headliner?
Enjoy watching your YouTube. Just picked up a 1995 Jeep Cherokee xj and just took everything out of inside and going make me an overlander out of it and taking back seats out and try build pull out draws with solar panels. I waited until I was 63 to start but just started watching for a while now and it just looks like fun and looking forward to just get away. Even if I have to just go to a campground. Heck even if I have to set in driveway will be good to me. I'm in Ohio so it would be a long trip just to get out your way so starting out around here first. Keep up the good work and thanks for your service.
Great videos very helpful! Have the same headliner issue so this really helps thanks
"I'm really proud of my son"… I felt that. Well done dad!
You have my ut Most respect! And it is not your building skills I'm talking about (been a mechanic for 30 years now), it's your "dad" skills that I admire! Good parents create Good children! Well done dad. Well done…
Really well done video. Very helpful.
I love the fact you can just go grab some fabric and put whatever you want on it!
Hahaha!!!! Master Chief didn't watch GI Joe back in the days with the PSAs, spraypainting the bike in the garage lol
