P06DD Code on a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram with a 3.6L Pentastar? This is likely your FIX!

P06DD Code on a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram with a 3.6L Pentastar? This is likely your FIX!

Do you have a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram car or truck with a 3.6L pentastar engine? If your remote start isn’t working or you have a check engine light on that is coming back with a code “P06DD or P06DA”, this is what you need to watch! It used to be you could only replace the entire oil pump for hundreds of dollars, but you can just replace the faulty oil pressure solenoid and save yourself a lot of money! The way I am doing this job is the “cheater” way and goes through the bottom oil pan only. You will need to buy a special “shorty” 10mm socket from amazon (link below) and have the patience to do the work.

Things you’ll need:
10mm Swivel short socket (https://a.co/d/9tto1h3)
8mm Socket
Torx driver set
Torque wrench that works in inch lbs
RTV gasket maker
Razor blade
15 mm socket for the belt tensioner
Belt removal tool
Needle nose pliers (helped)
A flat head screw driver (helped)
Rubber mallet (helped)

If you follow along on this video you should be able to get this job done in your driveway and save yourself dealership prices! This is on a front wheel drive vehicle and I am not sure if it is the same for rear wheel drive. Performing this work is at your own risk and I accept no liability as a youtuber or content creator.
