Jeep XJ Time-lapse Engine Rebuild, 4.0L Stroked to 4.6L | Redline Rebuild

Our 1993 Jeep Cherokee Sport needed its tired engine rebuilt, so we figured why not give it a decent upgrade while we’re at it? Of course, we wouldn’t miss the opportunity to shoot time-lapse video of every step along the way and hit you with another amazing addition to our Redline Rebuild series! With help from our friends at RockAuto.com, we source a crankshaft and pistons from a different Jeep engine (4.2L) and stroke this XJ’s legendary 4.0L straight-6 AMC engine to a slightly more powerful and torquey 4.6L.

Thanks to our sponsor RockAuto.com. RockAuto.com is an auto parts retailer founded in 1999 by automotive engineers with two goals: Liberate information hidden behind the auto parts store counter (by listing all available parts, not just what one store stocks or one counter-person knows), and make auto parts affordable so vehicles of all ages can be kept reliable and fun to drive. great entertainment… I don't have TV, so I watch a lot of this type of content. I never plan on doing this type of work since I play guitar and don't want to damage my fingers. None-the-less I find this program to be my favorite. Keep them coming
