Jeep JLU Mopar 2" Lift Kit Driveway Install – Step by Step – Rubicon on 37s!

Jeep JLU Mopar 2" Lift Kit Driveway Install – Step by Step – Rubicon on 37s!

Mopar 2″ Lift Kit with Fox Series Shocks for 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL 4-Door Part # 77072395AB.
Used Rock Krawler Front Spring Pad Part # RK06705K instead of provided Mopar ones.
I installed this in my driveway. Still need to add Rock Krawler Track Bars, and Fox 2.0 Steering Stabilizer.

Great video that I looked at several times during the install I just completed! Thank you.

I got just under 3" of lift on my 4 door soft top 3.6L Rubicon.

A couple of notes that may help others:
– The top bolt of the sway bar links are "hold and drive". You need to hold the bolt from spinning with a 6mm hex bit while you secure the torque prevailing nut (otherwise the bolt spins)
– The front spring bumper pads are a real pain (step 24). I used a rubber oil filter tool to hold the puck while you secure the nut from below.
– I had to loosen the park brake cable bracket (step 43) in order to drop the rear axle far enough to install the new taller springs

I got JT version on my JT… it rides super smooth. I was so impressed. Wish it came with new tracks bar though.

GEARBOX GEEK says:

I did mine myself too. I ordered mine from Amazon too. Waaaaay cheaper! Took me about 8 hours front and back. MUCH easier with an air gun!!

Man, thank you for the great video. Really helps. Did you run into any issues with re-torqueing stock bolts? Two of mine (FRT UCA to axle) already snapped when tourqueing to the specified value of 80. WTF? Are the stock bolts only good just for the initial install?

P.S. The bolt that’s sticking out from the front LCA (FRT Brake Hose to LCA) just snapped as well. This time I was using a brand new torque wrench set at 15 ft.-lbs as the spec sheet states. I’m afraid tightening anything to the spec now.

What is the right size for wheel lock and lug nuts for 2019 jeep wrangler sport jl thanks.

You did not use rock crawler coil spring correction for rear correct only in front right?

Jay Hernandez says:

Also when everything is done before you put the jeep on the ground is the bolts and nuts are loose or slightly tight only. And when the jeep is on the ground that's the time you tighten and torque everything also move the jeep back in forth before tighten and torque the bolts and nuts is this right? Please reply asap thanks.

Jay Hernandez says:

LeanMcSteph says:

Thanks for the video. I just realized the dealer Installed my front springs on the wrong sides. Can I confirm with you that red label 65AA is supposed to be on the driver's side?

Lawrence Pemberton says:

Hey did you have a problem with the upper end links nuts ? It uses a Allen key and 18mm wrench but I’ve broke two Allen bits and can not get it to go on with the factory m12-1.50 but I ended up buying m12/1.75 nut and it did go on but now I have to order two new end links I just feel like I messed with treads so much it’s just safer to buy new ones. Any tips or should I just use the m12-1.75 nuts ?

How did you get the lower control arms bolts off so easily? Any pre treatment beforehand?

Pat and Jessica’s Jeep Adventures says:

Your new 37s fit on the stock rubicon wheels?

Real_Talk 816 says:

I’m wondering why the mopar lift instead of a full lift kit like Metal Cloak if you are getting track bars anyway. Pricing would almost be the same. I’m just wondering because I’m trying to figure what kit I’m going with.

Also any wobble issues ?

fiftyfishbottom says:

Local dealer priced install at 8 hours labor, flat rate per hour. Most saying a 4 hour job.

Camp Cookery says:

Great video! How tight did you torque down the sway bar disconnects? The dealer installed mine and they rattle pretty bad.

rawdawg34a says:

Are you experiencing any bowing issues? It looks like you’re using the factory wheels, any issues with the 37’s! Lastly, why the wheel spacers?

Alex Berger says:

Great Video, I just installed mine a week ago but still on 35s … are you rubbing at all ??

Christopher Doebler says:

How long did the full install take you? Also, did you end up getting more than a 2 inch lift? I've heard some ppl say they get more than 2 inches.
