I have to confess to just cutting a sapling to ‘wedging’ size for holding
up the hatch on a 1991 Honda Hatchback. I just couldn’t justify the cost
of parts in my mind. You’re absolutely right on the weight of these doors,
they’ll hammer you if you’re not careful.
