What was the type of “COOKIE” you used on your angle grinder? There are so

@J TEK that is a symptom but also could be air in the system and coolant
isn’t flowing problem ,or maybe have a faulty water pump

hey i changed mine followed your video and everything but for some reason
its leaking now. it leaks from the bottom. i used just a gasket and it
leaked, than i used form a gasket or whatever its called and the gasket and
it leaked. what could be the problem?
Make sure the thermostat is in correctly and also make sure the thermostat
stays in place and didn’t fall between the mating surfaces of the head and
water outlet housing. Also check to see if the water outlet housing is not
cracked and is flat on the mating side as well as the head. Thanks for

what are the symptoms of a bad Thermostat? My temp is always above the 210
& it goes up and down. Fan is working and coolant level looks fine. I also
replaced my radiator like a year ago. TY
It will be messy when you pull the hose off and thermostat housing off.
Either way antifreeze is gonna come out, it is just neater to drain it from

Great vid Handy Man, I’m learning a lot from you YT engine heads. My only
questions are since I plan on getting a new radiator as well as a new
thermostat, would it be wise to also invest in the new housing as well as
the hoses? Secondly, when inserting the new thermostat, is it suppose to be

I remove the belt because antifreeze is not good for them, it cause
premature wear on the belt. It’s up to you but I would remove the belt. Not
so much the fan tho.

No, you can let a little out and jack the front of the vehicle up so all
the coolant stays to the back of the engine.
For starters thanks. As for the water outlet housing only get a new one if
it is cracked, distorted and or will not seal properly but most of the time
they can be reused. As for the hoses , yes I would replace them the upper
and lower radiator hose. And yes the thermostat has to be lined up a
