I stay away from Cherokee's made after 2000.
I had an XJ in college with 260k miles on the I6 and running well. It occasionally would diesel when turning off. Being young and stupid I would just shut it off in drive.
I got one, it's one of most reliable vehicles we got, over 240k miles and it's still running strong.
I had 2 WJ love them 277k miles sold it. Getting a 2015ish or newer WK2 Hemi Overland. Miss driving over dividers instead of making U-turns. And going off-road.
Interesting the scanner identified this as a WK, while its actually a WJ. I wonder if that makes any difference in reading the computer, or its just a typo in the program and doesnt matter?

I use to would get into my air cleaner a guy show me so put a plactic worked fine didn't get in air cleaner
I have 229k on my 01 JGC Laredo 4.0L IN6 that I’ve been restoring for the last 6 years. I just replaced the tranny gasket, filter, and the four solenoids last year. Just recently, the OD light and the Trans Over Temp light comes on and off when the engine is cold but goes away once the engine warms up but still runs just fine. Need to replace the suspension coils and insulators next, about $1,400 job. It’s gotta be done. ❤

I wish you were my neighbor. I just paid 1900 to replace all the gaskets and the front and rear seals because I was told they were leaking on the break pads? My logic said to my brain “how come you don’t see much oil on the ground”, but then the mechanic said, they are leaking onto other parts of the vehicle and the state of Maryland won’t pass inspection. What a dum dum I am. 2001 Jeep Cherokee 210,000, starts and runs great. I hope that mechanic didn’t screw it up.
