Dont scuff the door liner i learned the hard way you dont scratch plastic to paint it.

Ramon Clements says:

I didn't see any suggestions for paint on the new Jeep so let me recommend military green. A Jeep looks best when it goes back to its roots and modern Jeeps with old school colors and styling, in a throwback tribute, look amazing. That is what I would like to see for it. Awesome video and thanks for reminding us that killer deals are still out there!

I need that blue grill and light buckets.

Nick Tarter says:

I put bedrug flooring in my TJ and in my old CJ. It is way better than carpet in my opinion. It resembles carpet, but is waterproof and easier to clean. It also deadens road noise a lot.

on TJs you can twist the key 3 times and it will pop up the codes on the dash

Good grief…
As a Arizona, Texas guy, I cant wrap my head around that amount of rust (or any rust actually).

That’s simply unthinkable. I guess that’s why there are ZERO cheap JEEPS like that here.
Our cheap Jeeps will be rollovers or collisions mostly not repairable for the amount needed to fix them.

Jeeps are basically anywhere you look here, BUT people keep them, especially guys like me. We stop registering them and use them for farm use. (most UTVS suck and can’t handle the weight of lots of tools or hay plus dragging trailers around). Plus the newer UTVs are so big and expensive (but gutless compared to a JEEP) it makes no sense to buy them to me. I went that route for a while and got very aggravated at loss of use because of breakdowns and hard to get (expensive cheap built parts). I sold both my UTVs.

I was basically like the kid you bought silver Jeep from. I was over it and never will own one again more than likely. When 2 are constantly breaking it makes no sense to keep that cycle of stupidity going.

So… cheap Jeeps just have a very small market here, and good Jeeps hold their value too well at times. Most the time for what I need it’s easier to bite the bullet and buy new or nearly new. Nearly new is IFFY because I have been shopping hard lately and seeing lots of abuse.
A lot of repos are hitting the market but they are usually out of warranty and obviously they haven’t been cared for at all.
That is never an always thing, BUT the good clean repos are priced at very (very) high end retail or higher… That’s not a deal at all, it’s sort of a rip off, usually without warranty.

There is a Jeep very close to age and miles of the silver one here on Craigslist
2006 Saraha w/ hard top 180k miles (decent shape, not great at all).
It sold before I called for 15,500.00
That’s the difference in the markets across different regions I guess?

Cheap Jeeps for me are gonna be far off places but if they have that much rust I wouldn’t consider loading it on the trailer. I’m not a rust guy.

You mentioned he had a transmission put in that silver jeep…it's possible the sensor ring on the flexplate got damaged and the sensor can't read correctly over a certain rpm. I had something similar happen on my cherokee.

David Shettlesworth says:

A bold "Guy Move!" What you did was the equivalent of a "Good Samaritan Move" . Like picking up 3 puppies that were in serious need of a new home and it needed to happen fast. Any Jeep lover worth their salt respects what you did. Carry On Sir!

Wesley Nichols says:

Might be the fuel pump or filter

Linda Lynn says:

New sub here!

Fred Maxwell says:

The new tire and wheels look good but those pointy lug nuts make it look worse then the tire and wheels you removed!! The grill looks much better now and I think the full top will look good too. Maybe a brown or copper/bronze color for a color change.

My 2014 Ram 1500 was doing the same thing and throwing the same codes.. Turns out the truck needed a Torque Converter. Figured id throw my experience out to ya.
