Note that the PTFE tape that I use for these applications is the yellow tape that is double-density and designated as for use with gas (such as methane). I prefer it as I find that it is easier to use than standard PTFE tape. Any PTFE/Teflon tape, however, will do for this job, as the various types/colors are all stable when exposed to oil.
