thanks. getting mune fixed tomorrow.
No, its UNDER the glove box. YOu need to bend like Gumby to get downthere
Thank you for watching and commenting
I will take you up on that someday. Thanks
If your plug melted, the resistance on the blower motor is increasing. If
you fix the plug, it will melt again and has been know to catch fire. There
are work arounds, but replacing the blower motor is the easiest fix.
thanks so much, you saved me a bunch
Did you have to completely remove the glove compartment assembly to get at
the fuse box? …And I presume the glove box also had to come out when you
went one stage further and changed the resistor – is that correct? Thanks
in advance for your help.
THANK YOU !! i am going to try this i have the same problem with my 97 ! I
i will be in Pep Boys tomorrow first thing !!!
The resistor, time to go to PepBoys
I have a 98 TJ it only blows cool air when heat is on, It blows no matter
what setting. I took out blower motor it’s fine. The resistor looks new, is
there any way to test the resistor before replacing it?
All I needed thank you sir.
Went to Radio Shack with the new resistors and got those metal sleeves that
slide onto the new resistor. Connected the the wires to them then slid them
on
Hello. I had the same problem with the melted harness. How did you directly
wire to the resistor? Thank you for your time.
Dude, i stared at my haynes repair manual for an hour crawling around in my
dash and couldn’t find it. Your video was a life savor, because all or
nothing was cooking my feet!
HAHAHA, Wouldn’t be the first time
mine wont blow any air you think the same problem?
Dude I swear I would by you a beer, I thought it was going to be hard 5 min
and I was done thanks to your video , now my jeep is back to normal. god
bless
Your video rocks! Watched it, went to Pep Boys and ordered the part last
week ($45)…picked it up yesterday…took 10 minutes to change out…5
mins of which was spent finding the right socket (FYI, 7/16th or 8mm will
work). I have all blower levels back!!!!! Thank you so much! Probably saved
me $200!
I think that the little monster chewed the wire harness, thanks for
posting……
Great video thanks
I have a 99 jeep wrangler and the interior control for the fan blower
switch does nothing. I turn it to different settings and nothing happens.
what could it be?
