When you take the air dams off how much of a decrease in mpg do you think it would get should I try modifying and reinstalling them? or not
That’s a 2008
Thank you. Is it possible to remove the upper plastic plate (between the bumper and the radiator) without removing the bumper?
Thanks very much awesome video now I know how do it
Why do we need to remove the upper air dam?
Love how easy it looks to take those bolts off. They are tight as heck and give you a arm workout!
How long are the cabels for the fog lights? The bumper i want to get has the fog lights possessioned out farther on the sides instead of the middle like a stock bumper
I’m horrible with part names but I damaged bumper pretty bad and I can’t find a diagram that shows the part I’m looking for! I don’t know what you would call it but it’s those two front beam looking pieces that were revealed once the bumper came off. If anyone could tell me the name of those parts very much appreciated!
Thank you. This was the only video that I found that explains where the bolts are.
Those eight bolts are soooo tight on my 2012 JKUR. Even with an impact I can’t get them off. Forget trying it by hand.
Great intro,I wish I could just snatch it off like you pretend by yarding that thing off by hand hahaha!
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Do I need to put the bottom and top air damber back on after putting on aftermarket bumper or leave them off
For the upper trim clip, if you strip them out…just screw a drywall screw or something similar into it, then pull it out by the screw head.
Can I just remove the plastic bumper cover without removing whole steel bumper frame? The bolts are accessible on my 2016 JK and it appears that it is possible but the bolts don't seem to be backing out. Any ideas please. Thanks
My new bumper is a tub bumper. Will the Air dams being removed affect the cooling system? Or will I have to put them back on.
Thank you very much worked great
Best advice from this video was to not attempt this without flex-head rachet – it made all the difference in the world.
I found it necessary to break the hold of the 8 main nuts with 1/2" breaker bar. Just didn't have enough leverage with any of my 3/8" drives.
Thanks for the help!!
How do you change your turn signal lens from orange to clear like you have it where do you buy it
Is the vacuum break booster on the left side frame horn okay to be exposed? I noticed it was enclosed for the most part with the bottom plastic guard and the top smaller guard as well.
Quadratec, If you are replacing the stock bumper with another stock bumper will you still need to remove the upper air dam?
Excellent Video. This was extremely helpful!
got some damage on my front bumper. Taking it off tomorrow thanks to the video but there is damage to the metal cross bar underneath in the front. Wondering if this is serious or not and how I can fix it. I can send pics let me know if y’all have any ideas
Hi, I have a 2017 Wrangler sport and just ordered a 2015 bumper by mistake. Will it fit on my 2017 wrangler?.
When you're taking off the air dam, are those droplets on it from the well known leaky radiator that jeep knows about but won't commit to fixing? Just curious. Kidding of course. Thanks for the video.
