Thank you! I have a 2008 Unlimited X and the 2 simple steps on your video
helped me so much. I never used the front clamps to secure the top and open
the back and fold it neatly. ο»Ώ
It’s summer – it’s the weekend – why not drop the top on that Jeep and have
some fun! Here’s a simple step by step video if you’re nervous about itο»Ώ
ahh thanx!!!! this video helped ^-^ <3
@NAJones711 This is the stock top on our 2004 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The
part that folds back on top is called the Sunrider. It’s built into the
soft-top itself.
@peterDiglin Absolutely! We do that all the time π It’s no problem to
open the sunrider part of the roof and leave the windows in.
@TheFunTimesGuide ’98 is a TJ
You sound extra proud of yourself lol. Good job.
what year jeepis that? I like it. i want my first car to be something like
this! lol.
@6950062 To each his own… If you live your life with the Jeep top always
on though, you’re not getting the full experience of owning a Jeep! Our
Jeep top spends most of the summer months down, and it’s 6 years old now.
No cracks. Jeeping is what you want it to be. I want it to be top down most
of the time π
@TheFunTimesGuide a 1998 jeep is a tj….
In most ways the same – in some ways different. Obviously the CJ doesn’t
have the that first ‘flip’ or the “pin” to release at the top that the
unlimited has. But otherwise – the rest should be pretty much the same.
Unzip windows – release at latch behind visor, fold back and away you go.
My neighbor recomended not taking the top down because hers started
cracking. She said it was better to leave it alone
Just got my jeep thanks for the advice on this video
@TheFunTimesGuide No. 97′-2006 are TJ’s. No big deal though.
SUCCESS!!!! tyvm for this video.
We love it too! (…but all Wranglers are great.)
@ChiefsFan581 I would love to see pictures of your Ruby. Did it start life
as a hard top?
Then where do u put the side windows?
Glad you found the video helpful. Enjoy your new Jeep!!! π
i had the hardest time just trying to install my soft top last summer but i
think thats because i was missing small parts im not really sure
Can u do the sunrider for a 05
I have a 2003 model, can i open up the sunrider part of the roof and leave
the windows in? or will it act like a parachute?
Can you just fold the side windows up on the roof like the side flaps? My
zippers are messed up on my 2000.. I dont want to replace them if i can
still take the top off.. but i cant get the drip retainers above the doors
off.. they seem to be tight
@ChiludoToTheMax what did I miss? Both zippers need to slide to the left
and everything will fall right out. Same when you put it back on – start
with both zippers on the left
Is this the stock soft top or does it require an aftermarket top to fold
back and rest like that?
i have a 1979 jeep cj5 is the wrangler top removal the same as the cj top i
know alot about jeeps but this i dont :/ but i cant find any video on jeep
cj tops its alllllllll wrangler
I have an 03 wrangler but i put subwoofers in the back is there another
place I can put the top cause the subs take up the whole back part
How do you take off the soft top windows?!?!? I have a 2002 jeep wranger
all soft top and I have no idea how to take off the plastic windows!
Good intstructional video. I’m planning to buy a Wrangler but was wondering
how easy the soft top is to operate.
I have a 1970 CJ5, and I got the top off, but I can’t get it back on! Do
you have a video you could make, or direct me to one that could help me
out? Thanks!
@TheFunTimesGuide the yjs are from 87-95
i have a 1979 jeep cj5 is the wrangler top removal the same as the cj top i
know alot about jeeps but this i dont :/
Hey Ella: I don’t see why that wouldn’t work. I’d give it a try. It might
be a little bulky – but again, I’d give it a try before leaving the top up.
Have a great weekend
Do you have a video for hard tops?
@FSM2786 Anything with the SunRider (that half top) will have the pins
im so envious of your extended wheelbase wrangler… -_-
@turbotechnique Thanks for the heads up correction. I guess I just stepped
back into the 80’s – I miss my YJ
Do all Jeeps have those pins? I’ve taken My top off a few times and never
came across a pin. it’s an 05 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
cool thanks
How come u didn’t show what you did with the rear window? Just wondering
π !!!!!!!
my jeep is a 98 also but i have a few teeth missing on my back window
zipper can the window be folded in on itself like a convertable window so i
can put my top down?
@turbotechnique a ’98 would be a YJ – I think these pins are new to TJ
@ChiefsFan581 Same here I have a 98′ with no pins. Great vid though.
I’m a 21 year-old girl who is anything but handy, and I was able to take
the top down by myself in 10 minutes with no problem because of this video.
Thank you!
@TheFunTimesGuide tj start in 1997
Thank you very much for this video. i was dreading taking the top off my
(new to me) 98 wrangler but now thnxs to you , it was a snap lol
It is a terrible design, they should copy suzuki with the convertibles
vitara top idea
Haven’t found any videos on how “easy” it is to put the top back on.
I have an 06 Sport with pins, I wonder if the newer ones have em as well.
