Would you have a how to video or info that I can access on how to change
the outer sweeps/ door belts.for a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited? I have
seen two short videos by two other people, but they are short and not as
informative as you are. And they are conflicting…One, the person does not
remove the door panel to remove and replace the sweeps and the other video
removes the door panel to do it. So I am confused as to which is correct.
Please help! Thanks

what is the name of the adhesive glue you use?

I have a 1998 Buick Century, and I need to replace the weather stripping
and it is triple sealed, where can I find the proper product to replace
them? I would like to replace it on all 4 doors and the seal on the outside
of the windows at the base are all split and worn, where can I find them?

Mebuttersbig says:

Very nice I had to Google what the name of the plastic thing was to search
and try to fix it can any glue from the auto parts do the job

nick4leader says:

it must be a Chrysler thing because my intrepid is the same way

1A Auto Parts says:

You may have to replace the weatherstrip. That should get rid of the noise
issue.

1A Auto Parts says:

@Schush the weatherstrip could shrink over time. I don’t remember on this
vehicle how well it fit in the corner. I do remeber that when it was back
together I was happy with how the weatherstrip was installed.

1A Auto Parts says:

If it seals the door to the body of the car, it’s refeered to as a door
seal. You may need to go to the dealer to get a new one.

Schush says:

I have a ’04 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ the same issue…… My question is
that the weatherstrip doesn’t make a tight for on the corners. Does
weatherstrip shrink overtime? Is the strip you put back tight on the outer
corners?

1A Auto Parts says:

You could try to get in the vehicle and have someone spray it with a hose
to see where the leak’s coming from.

Behind the Thrills says:

My car was broken into a few years ago and I moved to Florida. About a year
after I moved to Florida, the weather stripping (if that’s what its
actually called) on the outside of the window on my 2007 Nissan Sentra
closest to the door jam is now on the wrong side of the window. When it
gets really hot and humid, my window won’t roll down and I get wind noises
in my car. Can you tell me what the part is called and maybe do a video on
how to fix this? Thanks! 🙂

petrucciphan says:

thanks so much ;)!!!

petrucciphan says:

what is the strip called thats on the outside of the door at the bottom of
the window. Is that a different type of weatherstripping? I have a 05
nissan sentra by the way, if that matters? The strip on the bottom of the
window is starting to fall apart

1A Auto Parts says:

You may need a couple of them.

1A Auto Parts says:

Those are referred to as either sweeps, dew wipes or door belts. They have
a few different names that people tend to call them.

weiwuri says:

i have a dodge ram 06 quad 1500 when driving on the highway wind comes
threw is it because of the strip is worn out it doesnt leak when it rains
or some thing else

Lindsey Owens says:

Hi! Ok, so I have a 2010 Jeep Commander with a serious leak issue. Always
after a heavy rain, the floorboard becomes VERY saturated. I popped the
plastic covers off so I could lift the carpets. What as odd was that on the
pad which is connected to the metal portion of the floorboard was wet only
half way up the pad… this leads me to believe that it isn’t coming from
behind the dash. I think it’s the bottom weather strip on the inside of the
door. should this strip have been glued down?
