Books call for a 1295 bulb. I got one and it’s large while the video shows
a miniature. Will dive in and see what I can see…

Audio during actual removal and replacement was essentially useless. Never
the less, the actions were clear, and I learned what I needed to learn.
Thank you!

Thanks for the video, this helped me take the small side turn signal out
and replace the bulb. I thought i had to takwe the entire headlight and
stuff out. The screw tho between the lights in the middle was really hard
to get too. There was no room to fit a normal screwdriver in i had to get
the thinnest i could find and still spread the lights apart to get to it..
Thought i was going to break the lights

@bschortau Here’s a video we also shot on the 99-04 Grand Cherokee model
years. youtube.com/user/1aauto#p/search/16/tou2PPvAHUU

Thanks for the video.. It’s been a few years since I last work at
Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge and I forgot how to get to the screws esp in the winter
outside at 5* f 😉

Thank you for making this video without it I never would have found the
torx screw between the 2 lenses. Your audio is VERY quiet i had to blast my
stereo to hear lol.

hey2youtoob says:

Thanks for the Jeep video. Video volume is very low, even with utube volume
and my computer volume both turned up to max 11. Maybe headphones plugged
into computer might work ? This repair can be completed without removing
the headlight assembly, but it is more difficult. I used a Torx T25 tool,
with a long, narrow shaft and a full-sized handle. I tried a Torx T27, but
it a little too big for the screw head.

The side markers in the Cherokee are different but may not be difficult to
replace.

Thanks for the video, very helpful. Quick question is a “number 2 Torx the
same as a “T2” Torx? Thanks

vened24 says:

You won’t believe how helpful this video was. I am restoring a ’93 Jeep GC
and since I have spent my life repairing only Fords this Jeep has been, at
times, a very annoying mystery. It is the little things that seem to be the
most frustrating and this was one of them. Thanks so much. You made my day.

Thank you for watching on videos on YouTube. Have a great day!

Helpful Tips; Torx T25 tool with long, narrow shaft and full-sized handle.
This tool is difficult to find in retail stores, order a good torx
screwdriver set from amazon , etc. A bright flashlight with a narrow beam
is helpful to find hidden screws. I also used a small plastic shim/wedge to
gently pry plastic pieces apart. Caution; be very careful when
prying/bending old/brittle plastic parts ! Soft, rubber gasket on bulb
assembly base should mate perfectly with hard plastic of lens assembly.

hey2youtoob says:

Good video to find the hidden torx screws; audio is very low volume. Bulbs
and/or plastic lenses can be replaced without removing the headlamp
assembly, but it is a more difficult job. ( Crash damage to my Grand
Cherokee, so I’m replacing bulbs + lenses. ) Torx T25 screwdriver works
fine, T27 is too large. Corner marker needs a 194 NA bulb; signal light
assembly needs 2 bulbs; one 194 NA and one 1295 NA. (NA = Natural Amber) I
bought Sylvania Long Life bulbs @ my local Checker O’Reilly store.

Can this be applied to a classic cherokee?
