David Carrico says:

Important to note that even if you selected them as the factory option, they are likely not installed correctly (at least they weren’t on mine), leaving it up to the customer to complete those final steps. Thanks for posting Brandon, I think a lot of people will find this valuable.

Faris Sal says:

i found out the "right way" when my date wearing high pointy heals stepped on this bit and the carpet and rubber plug fell through the floor and i lost both lol

tmar23 says:

Almost the correct way to install them. You'll also want to push the floor matt down around the drain to get it to lock into the floor pan. You'll feel it pop into place.

Mario says:

Come in handy when you enter the Jeep with snow. Heating melts the snow and drain 🙂 <3

Schleppy Zee says:

Linex for the interior, after doing it I think it should be a factory option / standard for rubicons.

Wasn't too much either, $900 CAD, and you will definitely love it.

Huneidu says:

How did you get the back all-weather mats in? I cannot figure out how to get them in due to the battery/electric-engine.

twoallame says:

Interesting….this must be a new feature as my 2016 hardrock does not have that little section of rug stamped out, nor does the mats have the drain cut out. Nice idea

Lohkay says:

Be warned, they don't have a tight seal! Sure, you can hose and it'll probably drain out ok. But ford some water and it'll seep in under the mat and wet your carpet… you might not even notice and with the rubber mat over, it'll never dry! Since I do ford water from time to time, I bought a second set of plugs to plug the mats as well as the floorpan.

Paulo Campos says:

I was today years old when I learned this and I have had the jeep since 2019. I just went out and did mine. Going out on my seadoo all the time, I fill that area with water constantly and always wondered what was going on with that hole and the carpet under it. Mine came from factory this way and you will think they would do that step since people like me had no idea

Sherry ONeal says:

Thanks! Just got my 392 and thought those holes with carpet under it was a little weird to have because they hold dirt. Just corrected it.

Carl Laredo says:

How about the rear carpets? Is there a drain hole?

samslop says:

I did not know that excellent

CheaperJeeperTV says:

Hey Brandon, I find it less hassle to just remove the mats to clean them when needed. I chose WeatherTech mats because they go up more on the sides than the Mopar ones, thereby protecting the carpet near the gas pedal where snow and salt on my boots would touch. Cheers.

Jacob Marx says:

Nice!! Thanks man

Jon- Atron says:

I was wondering why there’s carpet underneath! LoL

Roger Balwinski says:

I recommend pushing down on the drain hole when setting the mat to get a good seal and depth on the drain hole, then put the cover on.

Erich Roeder says:

Next video on what to do about that door dribble when you open door when it’s raining?

Patrick Molloy says:

neat. I'd better go install mine! LOL forgot I had them 🙁
By the way, water drips off that channel over the front doors … a little blob of black or clear silicone acts like a dam and stops it – no more wet laps when its been raining.

Wrangler4XEFans says:

Wow, there's my something new for the day. Thank you, Brandon.

Les intérêts de Simon says:

Oh! Very good to know! But do you recommend to keep this on winter or replace the cap under the mat?

Bobby Skarpa says:

Just FYI these things do NOT seal! I have had 3 sets and not 1 set has actually sealed. Also I can't believe the amount of guys that had no idea how to install them correctly. I guess you think most people have common sense but don't. Lol. At least they know now

B. James Maher says:

Very useful. Thanks for the video.

Kefmans says:

Out of interest, how does the drainage work? Is there a higher chance on rust beneath the car?

CW Ness says:

Have to agree with David anther great tip. CW

Gary Welker says:

If people need this video to figure this out, them people need to buy a Chevy of Ford.

Dave Glanville says:

You mentioned in an older video post to use butyl to seal. What's changed that you aren't doing that now?

David Calhoun says:

Brandon, thank you for this. I had no idea. I have wondered why the floor mats did not sit right. Thank you so much for all your posts, I have learned so many features about my 4xe that I did not know were there by subscribing to your channel.
