i heard that i would need my ecm re-flashed by the factory in order to get
the programming for the cruise control. Did you need to do anything like
this or was it plug and play?
Great video Im waiting on delivery of my kit. I found the plug by the fuse
box but it is pluged in .Would this be the right one. And just unplug and
use it?
The clock spring needs to be changed out to get the 2 wires needed for the
cruise control buttons. I’m not familiar with the 5 speed models, but check
thoroughly under and around the fuse/relay box under the hood for that
connector.
why is a new clock spring needed? also if my jeep is 5 speed not auto, does
that make any problems with installing this, because i dont not have that
connector near the batter you talk about.
Good god man. This is exactly what the doctor ordered! I’m going to
bookmark this video and find all of the parts when it warms up a little.
Don’t take this video down!
Yes I was referring to the steering wheel puller, I will look to find once,
and I will also look at the salvage yard for the kit, thank you for those
informations
If your referring to the steering wheel puller, no you need to use it. I
got all the items needed t do this conversion at the local salvage yard
(pick a part) for around 80.00. You can also find it on eBay. I have a set
of switches for a 99 to 01 for 25.00
There are two 4 way connectors near the fuse box. The one your looking for
is the one with the Dark Blue w/Red stripe, Tan w/Red stripe, Lite Green
w/Red stripe, and a Black wire. Thanks Martin
