Pack each cap with some good chassis grease to hold the needle bearings in better than that factory clear stuff. Drive the first cap deeper so the opposing cap can register on the crosshaft, once both are in, install your clips and then give the caps that are 90 degrees from the ones you just put in a good wack to seat the caps against the clips and free it up some. Oh yeah, if they are greasable, always orientate the hole for the zerk fitting so it's in compression as the driveshaft turns, never in tension.

Use a press
drive the first cap in deeper slip the u joint part way out so it penetrates the other cap drive it home
A little emery cloth is your friend with a little 3n1 oil.
I put one in mine couple months ago but the old one exploded going 60 just bent the drive shaft got a new from the junk yard took me a hour maybe
always put a small amount of grease in first.
