This video rocks! Many thanks

Bullshitkorner says:

i got a rad off ebay for around 100 bucks and it’s been almost a year and it’ hasn’t blown out yet or had issues with heating up so it’s been ok

criceoon says:

I have a YJ, and have a leak on the crimped top. Thinking about trying some high temp gasket maker to seal it up. But, I do need to buy a new radiator as soon as I can. Any suggestions to something that is good and not ridiculous in price? Thanks for the video, it’ll help me out when I change mine out. And do you like your Banks throttle body spacer better than other brands?

Bullshitkorner says:

that’s another way of doing it for sure, thanks for posting as i’m sure somebody will get stuck on the bolt and look for ideas on how to get it out

mvy40 says:

I just replaced the radiator in my 2002 TJ. The bottom bolt was a cinch; just remove two of the steering box bolts and loosen the third. Turn the shroud 90 degrees to make some room. Push down the steering shaft to access the bottom screw with a small air wrench. I didn’t realize at the time, as I didn’t look closely at the new radiator, the bottom bolt holes are slotted so they only have to be loosened a bit.

Bullshitkorner says:

i did look on your channel it says you don’t have any videos ?

Bullshitkorner says:

good job, so all in all the job turned out good with no issues ?

joeybro1998able says:

Hey if you are wanting to take off your hartop and looking for. A way to store it somewhere without loosing space. Check out my video on my channel. Just a thought

houstonjonb1 says:

My girlfriend was there when it happened and that’s exactly what she did! As far as the bolt yeah it was a bitch to get to for sure but I managed to get it back in. I left off the passenger side middle bolt though. The retaining clip or whatever it is that holds the bolt broke off so I couldn’t get the bolt to tighten in there.

Bullshitkorner says:

did you have any issues with that fuck off bolt that’s kind of a bitch to get at ?

Bullshitkorner says:

that’s harsh, don’t you hate that when it happens… however if i would have seen that i would have laughed my ass off and gave you a beer

houstonjonb1 says:

Oh yeah one thing I thought I’d share… When I pulled the bottom hose there was still coolant in there that spilled on me, I tried to roll out of the way quickly and as I did it I head butted the shit out of my bumper. I literally saw stars haha

houstonjonb1 says:

I finished this install with minimal problems. The main problem I had was when I reinstalled the fan shroud the holes on the new radiator were too big where it matched up for the fan shroud so I had to go to the store to buy bigger bolts. Also one hole didn’t align so that one got a zip tie.

Bullshitkorner says:

no issues with not replacing that bolt and it’s been close to a year now

houstonjonb1 says:

I’m having to do this today. Have you had any problems from the bolt you didn’t reinstall?

Bullshitkorner says:

to be honest i’ve never seen a jeep with AC so i’m not sure how it’s set up, but mostly the AC condenser is always in front of the rad so it shouldn’t interfere in removing the rad itself

Tmstar5 says:

i noticed on my 97 tj once i took off the radiator there is another one in front of it that the a/c is connected to. If i remove my a/c can i remove the radiator if thats what its called that is connected to the a/c? i plan on putting a flex-a-lite combo kit.

Bullshitkorner says:

I ordered it online from a company in eastern Canada, I don’t remember the name anymore as it was a ebay purchase. the red plugs are for your transmission if you have a manual then you’d just insert plugs in where the red caps went

Bullshitkorner says:

since the jeep is a sport model, I used my vinyl cutter to custom make a set of sport decals to go across the hood instead of using the small decals that go on the side of the jeep. There is still a few more jeep videos yet that will show up. The engine tear down was i think 3 videos those will be posted starting new week

stevedee1202 says:

I knew if I kept checking in that another jeep video would be posted, thanks!! What decals did you put on the hood?

Bullshitkorner says:

oh i’ve been there and no that feeling all to well

aky19832001 says:

Brother I got desperate.I had god damn oil all over the floor, it was getting late, I had parts on the floor that I didn’t even existed on the jeep. I nearly took off my foot, and sawed into everything near the bolts.

Bullshitkorner says:

Nice thumbs up for using a Chainsaw to remove bolts, that’s hardcore shit

aky19832001 says:

AHAHA! love it. To bad you didn’t have this when I was goign through my shit storm of a radiator replacement for a cherokee.

BTW I my bolts were rusted and had to use a chain saw.

Bullshitkorner says:

Actually the jeep has grown on me, at first it was suppose to be a project to buy and sell, but so far i think i’m gonna keep it. the rad is a easy job except for that one bolt, a sticking calliper kind of sucks… hate that when it happens

Bullshitkorner says:

the only thing that is stopping me at the moment to run 33’s is the gearing. I have 3.73’s now but want to beef up the axles and run with 4.56 gears with 33’s

Bullshitkorner says:

hahah I can totally see that happening. That sucks to do a extra repair when you didn’t need too

cybercat84065 says:

I also had to change my Rad on my old 91 wrangler I used to have, I punched a fuckin hole in it taking the harmonic dampening wheel off, pissed me off

cybercat84065 says:

damn if I lived near you I would trade you my 33×12.50 s for your 31s strait up, 33s give me shit MPG on my jeep.

martyman5000 says:

So you liking the Wrangler? I just found out yesterday that my left front caliper was sticking, kept wondering why my jeep wasn’t rolling smooth. I already changed my rad a year back, nice easy job.
