Bullshitkorner says:

if your not worried about making a mess let her buck, if your anal about making a mess then remove the plate

ZuranMarine says:

As i see, it’s not necessary to remove the protective plate right?!!?

Thx bye 😀

Shabbernigdo says:

transfercase ataches to the back of the transmission and transmits power to the front axle when its engaged. Just like any thing with gears and other moving parts it needs to be lubricated and over time that lubricant breaks down and becomes contaminated so it needs to be changed out.

Bullshitkorner says:

I always tell people use what only is recommended for the application your using it for

Kyle Aldrich says:

I’m curious about your comment having to do with hydraulic oil. I have an ’05 TJ,Rubi and the factory service manual (Not the owners manual, the FSM) states:
TRANSFER CASE – NV231
Recommended lubricant for the NV231 transfer
case is Mopart ATF +4, Automatic Transmission
Fluid.
TRANSFER CASE – NV241
Recommended lubricant for the NV241 transfer
case is Mopart ATF +4, Automatic Transmission
Fluid

Brandon Eulberg says:

what does the transfer case do, and why do you need to change the fluid?

Tony Simsek says:

hi! great work! I have a problem with my KJ and guessing that it is the transfer case but would you please look at my videos and let me know what the problem is?

BrettHoustonTube says:

Thanks.

What are your thoughts about synthetic fluid in the tfr case?

Bullshitkorner says:

personally I really don’t mess around with vents, they are usually fairly inexpensive to replace.

Shanley Thornton says:

I’m looking for info on unclogging the breather vent on the T-case, any ideas?… Great video though!

Bullshitkorner says:

i actually did a video series of stripping down the old motor and finding the root cause of the issue then scrapped it. i kept all the sensors and anything i could salvage for myself

Ashley Lafferty says:

have a 2000 tj, same color, would like the parts off the old motor if able and some tips on modifying…..ok keep up the great vids….

Bullshitkorner says:

glad to help out

dirtysanchezatvboys says:

Thanks for the helpful video

Bullshitkorner says:

no I haven’t done the fuel pump yet, you should be able to do it yourself wait if possible till the tank is pretty much empty it will make it easier to remove it

Ben Wedemeyer says:

Have you ever had to replace a fuel pump, i believe the pump in my 97 tj is fucking up, im hoping ill be able to do it my self.

Tombo1787 says:

Definitely wanna see the old motor stripped down thanks brother

MMyballsitch says:

strip it

Ahmed Almoalla says:

3 years with jeep first time heard about 247 does it work like 231 or like 242 i mean does it have 4×4 part time ?
hope you got a good price on this you really did a great job also there price goes up now , also jeep cherokee price goes higher and higher specially 97-2001 models.
1 month ago 98 with small accident went for 2200$ on ebay, 3-4 years ago a clean limited 2001 perfect run without any single problem worth 1700 maximum !!

Bullshitkorner says:

it all depends on your transfer case that’s why i said a person better check before. mine is a nv247 and it uses a hydraulic/transmission fluid. most transfer cases will take a ATF fluid indeed this one is kind of odd. I was actually thinking of doing a jeep cherokee or a jetta tdi. it all depends on when i sell what i have now and what i can find with blown motors or issues so that i can make videos and help people out

Ahmed Almoalla says:

mine is NP231, 2001 cherokee which use ATF 3 got the info from here 4x4xplor.com/trannyservice.html
there is NP231 and NP242 believe both of them use ATF (automatic transmission oil)
what do you mean by hydraulic fluid ? is it the ATF ? or do you have other type of transfer case ?
correct me if i’m wrong
by the way love your videos keep them coming and please your next or one of your future projects jeep cherokee .

C Fusco says:

Yeah strip down that biatch yo!

Bullshitkorner says:

i got it from amsoil for around 10 bucks but it only works with their bottles

Bullshitkorner says:

If i do decide to keep the jeep I will be doing a re-gearing to suit 33 inch tires, i’m still kind of torn of what to with the jeep. I’ve been pondering on selling it and getting a tdi jetta or a bmw x5 for a next project

Cody Lane says:

please do a srtip down of the old engine.. irealy enjoy watching your tj project i have learned alot….im shortly starting a tj project of my own…can you do a video on regearing a dana 30 front axel

Bullshitkorner says:

its funny you mentioned that as i just did a transfer case oil change on my 06 ford this weekend it will most likely be online in a month or so. the motor videos will most likely start to show up closer to christmas time. I’m just doing a bunch of videos on the e46 bmw so of them being very complex jobs.

Steve Rob says:

Would love to see the motor stripped down. I have a 2010 F150 without a dip stick, looks like a small fill and level checker on the top side of the trany pan. Looks real hard to fill and check.
If your ford has this setup would like to see how a fluid change is done on this setup. Like the fluid pump, good idea.
