Sweet thanks

Bullshitkorner says:

it is a 2003

fjc81 says:

What year is this jeep?

Bullshitkorner says:

disconnecting the fuse is not necessary as it’s 12 volts the worse that can happen is that you will blow a fuse if you wired something wrong

serf3469 says:

Do you have to disconnect the fuses or the battery???

Brian

Bullshitkorner says:

if nobody hacked any wire it should just plug back in without any issues

Jt Fensty says:

Im reinstaling the factory radio back in are there anywires that i need or should everything that plugs in just be easy to plug in

BlakStoneface says:

AND drink a frickin beer!!!

Grantsimms . says:

good job on the editing

Alex Ness says:

could you install a 2 din stereo into the same location I noticed you have installed a single Din stereo and wondering if I could install 2 Din stereo my TJ?

Bullshitkorner says:

nope that’s the point of my videos, to help people save a few bucks

MrTeacherDude says:

Very good tutorial. Makes me a little more confident going into my install in a couple of days. No point in paying a bunch of money for someone else to do it.

Eric Smith says:

Bullshitkorner thanks for making all these videos. They have been very helpful with projects on my TJ. Keep up the good work.

TalkingTheTalks says:

What size radio fits in the jeep tj ? 2 inch tall or 4? Help

Bullshitkorner says:

that’s a good question, mine didn’t have subs maybe somebody can chime in and answer that one

JimmydeanOIIIIIIIO says:

Hope this question wasn’t already asked but I just installed an almost identical stereo into an 06 TJ which came stock with a sub. Is the sub lead the blue wire and if so how do I connect that to the stereo harness? My only guess is tying into the rear speakers.

Bullshitkorner says:

depending on your stereo that you buy it should have a mounting sleeve that slides over the deck it’s that mounting sleeve that has some tabs that you bend out to prevent it from coming out. then your deck just slides into it’s sleeve and locks into place

Jeepy67 says:

nice install. question though…what did you do to secure the new stereo into the opening, to keep it from sliding forward and out?

Bullshitkorner says:

that’s a safer method than trying to grab and pull it off, less chance of busting one of the clips off

jazzwelladdams says:

take a flat head screwdriver and jimmy it at the bottom of the panel, there are two clips, it should slide off, that’s how mine worked.

thelonghairpimp says:

the front dash panel will not come out no matter how hard i tug on it. any advice?

Bullshitkorner says:

did you make the custom dash or buy one, i’m interested in different things to do to this jeep

nautilus9008 says:

o yea probably. lazy prick. o well just gave me a excuse for a aftermarket stereo. and a custom dash

Bullshitkorner says:

brutal the fucker prolly was itching for some crack/cocaine and saw your jeep as a easy target

nautilus9008 says:

o man tell me about it. slashed side window, bent passenger door handle cause the idiot could figure out how to UNZIP the dam window but he just cut it, fucked up dash and stolen radio and a 1.50 in spare change. the real bad part is i have a hard top i had off for maintenance reasons and was just temporarily using for like two days

Bullshitkorner says:

that’s harsh to see people so desperate resorting to steal factory stereos. what was the condition of your jeep after the deck was stolen ?

nautilus9008 says:

yea you wouldnt think it would be worth stealing but down here in the states people are jack asses and instead of trying to work to buy things they steal the rest of our shit and no mater what pawn shops will give em 10-15 bucks for stock radios. (i know this cause i found mine in a pawn shop a few weeks ago) but yea its a bitch to get to so its not easy to steal and its a main ground rod

Bullshitkorner says:

i would have never have thought it was used as a ground as the plug has a ground in it, however it is bolted to the frame which is ground so naturally it is…. to be used as a anti theft device makes me chuckle as the factory decks are useless – unless they are nav/dvd aren’t worth the effort to steal

nautilus9008 says:

not being a ass but that bolt is used for grounding. i work for jeep and alot of people dont know but its a ground and anti theft devise

Bullshitkorner says:

it’s most likely there to piss people off when they want to replace the stereo, otherwise i don’t think it would matter too much if you removed it or not as aftermarket stereos are just held in place with the front 4 bolts and they don’t seem to have any issues. but it is just there for stability

Stephen J says:

hehehe, yeah about that annoying ass bolt… I’m just gonna be replacing my stock radio with another stock radio cuz I’m cheap. Is that bolt in there for stability when rock crawling/etc or is it in there as a way to, hahahahha, deter theft?

Bullshitkorner says:

yes you will need beers to cool your nerves getting that bolt out from behind the stereo

Stephen J says:

Thanks for the vid buddy, next time drink more beer!

Bullshitkorner says:

yes your gauges moving can drain your battery, how long will it take ? one will never know…… if you never had that issue before perhaps you have a wire crossed where it’s not suppose to be like the illumination wire or something

Chris Franks says:

Just put in one on my 03 chevy blazer I used a 2002 harness but now my gauges keep moving up when I shut off my truck idk can my gauges drain my battery?

Bullshitkorner says:

did you solder and cut the factory wires or get a adapter wiring harness so it’s plug and play ?

visualthoy says:

Awesome thank you. Went to Home Depot, got the kit and I think i did a decent job (solder + heat shrink). Will hook it up tomorrow. The only thing I haven’t figured out yet is how to deal with the ground.
