Thanks for the video. I just had to replace what was left of mine after
200,000 miles. Your video was very helpful.
Thank you for sharing the video. I installed new parking brakes yesterday
and this video helped me out tremondously 🙂
This video was clear and concise. Well done dear fellow Jeep lover. I
loosened my stars as far as they would go but the rotor still would not
come off. Reckon I’ll have to go rent a puller and put some muscle on it.
Must have some rust built up inside that is blocking the rotor from coming
off. My goal was to get the rotor off so I could replace a bad wheel stud.
Here’s hoping the shoes are okay. Thanks for posting a helpful video.
Thanks a lot for making this video. Really appreciate it
good vid, thanks
can you tell me the torque specs of the rear caliper
bolts??????????????????/
My 05 Liberty was ‘snapping’ for the last few weeks at low speed. It
finally began growling and I could tell it was the wheel and not shaft. I
took off the wheel and rotor and caliber and low and behold, the pads to
the parking brake were completely detached and causing the grinding noise.
This video made the repair easy and for $25. Stealership wanted $250 to fix
it! Thanks, Brian!
My parking break has NO friction at all. I looked at that parts and was
intimidated. Your video cleared it all up for me. Next warm day, I’ll be
replacing mine. I would like to know how to properly adjust them though.
Great video!
Caliper, not caliber!
those are the worse looking shoes I’ve ever seen…..
Great video. I need to tackle this on my 2005 Liberty this weekend. I
believe a part of the lining has separated from the shoe and is banging
around inside the rotor
110,000 miles on them. The friction linings had totally separated from the
shoes and were loose when I removed the rotor.
Was just the same for my 2004 liberty sport. Very helpful. (Never done
those types before) thank you very much for posting!
Excellent – comprehensive. Also, like those birds singing! Makes the whole
job seem like “a song.”
