You might want to be thinking of this when you oil at the top end. It’s easy and cheap!

Two additional tips I would advise. While the cover is off replace the
grommets, PCV and breather elbows. Both of mine where crystalized and
broken. Very cheap and VERY easy with cover out, bitch with it in. Be
warned the old factory installed line that connects the PCV to the intake
manifold is no longer available. A new design has replaced it and it cost
$48.00. The rubber line that connects the PCV to the plastic manifold is a
odd design. It is a tapered tube from the covers elbow to the manifold
line. That rubber tube will harden with time and will break or have to be
cutoff. Since my O3 has 160,000 it’s a small price to pay to keep my
vehicle running in tip top shape.

I wonder if the same could be done for a 01′ Cherokee Sport.

And get a new gasket lol. It is an easy job, just takes a couple hours
first time.

elitecssplayer says:

Why not? They are a good gasket. Not as good as OEM but a 7th of the price
lol.

elitecssplayer says:

I didn’t miss that part. It is unnecessary to do that so I didn’t. I still
don’t have any leaks from the day I installed it and it is still blue lol.
