Richard Sutton says:

I fitted a new single DIN Panasonic head unit to my XK8 many years ago. Rather than change the entire console surround I simply bought a shaped insert which fits around the single DIN unit and replicates the shape of the original Jag surround. The insert was not expensive. You can spend as much or as little on the head unit as you wish but the total cost including the surround could easily be under £100 and you then have proper Bluetooth without cassette, DAB, USB socket, aux phono input etc

Hooky says:

I have been using the Cassette Adaptor for around 2 years. It's brilliant. Works well. I don't drive my car alot so charging the adaptor is not an issue. I just charge it before I go out on a long journey.

I just want to add 3.5mm input to be honest. It's a bit of a pain that Jaguar didn't add in some input like 3.5mm

Is this an internal mod to the head unit to have BT available when the CD button is pressed ? Or is that a spoiler alert !!!

Dean Shull says:

Nice. I added bluetooth using a hard to find Alpine device integrated with the cd changer, along with a BT receiver and an extra subwoofer. My XKR is red like the one in the thumbnail, a 2001 convertible. I love it so much. It's SAD to say I may sell it soon since I dont have time to drive it anymore.
