Thanks for the video. I was able to fix both seats in about an hour. I used the body of an ink pen and slid it over the shrink tubing to ensure the sheating doesnt “fold” there. It is nice to know something is easy to fix on my 2003 XK8.
I found this video VERY helpful. One thing I found necessary was before putting the spline back in the motor, fold the seat forward to let the motor run its course, then manually turn the spline until the headrest just touches the top of the seat….making sure headrest is snapped into movement mechanism. Then reinstall cable. I also ran the heat shrink over the ferrule for more security and tie wrapped it in as well. Keep these videos coming! 2002 Red XK8 coupe
